Geneva Caryleen Marshall Turpin, 85, of Floyd, Va., left on her heavenly journey on Thursday, October 21, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, Uriah Turpin; two sons, Guy Turpin and Garry Joe Turpin; and three brothers, Jesse Marshall, Everette Marshall, and Will Marshall.

Those left to cherish her memory are her 10 children and spouses, Ray and Linda Turpin, Roy and Juanita Turpin, Wanda Cox, Bonnie and Jesse Lawrence, Juanita and Joe Salmons, Kathy Adkins, Rita Turpin and James Worrell, Marla and Danny Owen, Teresa and Scott Beard, and Buddy Turpin; sisters, Isabelle Jalis, of Dumfries, Va., and Oleda Henley, of Pulaski, Va.; brother, Guy Marshall, of Max Meadows, Va.; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Always with a ready smile and a great sense of humor, she rarely complained even though you knew at times her heart was breaking. Her love of nature was apparent by her surroundings and she dearly loved her children, grandchildren, great and great-great-grandchildren and being blessed with Buddy, has filled her life with joy and happiness beyond compare.

Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 24, 2010, at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ralph Duncan officiating. Interment will follow in the Duncan Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 23, 2010, at Maberry Funeral Home.
