Turpin, Cora Lee McPeak

Cora Lee McPeak Turpin, age 83 of 603 Magazine Street, Pulaski passed away Sunday, September 24, 2006 at her home. Born February 12, 1923 in Pulaski County she was the daughter of the late Posey Harrison & Victoria Kitty Phillips McPeak.

Her husband, James Dewey Turpin, one son, Randy Turpin, one son-in-law, Ted McMillan, three brothers, Oakley McPeak, Paul McPeak and William McPeak and three sisters, Nannie Roseberry, Virginia Young and Mollie Owens also preceded her in death.

She was a former employee of Pulaski Apparel. She attended the Pulaski Church of God on Bobwhite Blvd.

Surviving are: daughter, Betty McMillan, Pulaski; several nieces & nephews; extended family, Barbara & Bill Chrisley; her beloved cats.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with the Pastor Jerry Collins officiating. Interment will follow at the Newbern Cemetery, Newbern, Va. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Bower Funeral Chapel, 1631 Bobwhite Blvd., Pulaski.
