Turner, Mary Elizabeth

Mary Elizabeth Turner, 15, of Christiansburg, Va., passed away on Monday, May 17, 2010. She was born on September 22, 1994, in Radford, Va. Mary was a freshman at Christiansburg High School. She loved to play the guitar and keep her family and friends well entertained. She was a great big sister, great friend, and loved her family, especially her brothers. She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Angela Petersheim and Ralph Giovanetti; father, Joshua Turner; brothers, Julian and Arie Giovanetti; sisters, Madison and Maya; along with their mother, Eleanor Inman; maternal grandmother, Kathy Ayers; maternal grandfather, Glenn Petersheim and wife, Beth; paternal grandmother, Carol Dalton; stepgrandparents, Janet and Ralph Giovanetti Jr.; great-grandfather, James Hager; and numerous other aunts, uncles, family, and friends. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the New River Valley Community Services Board Substance Abuse Programs, 700 University City Blvd., Blacksburg, Va. 24060 and Christiansburg High School Guidance. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 20, 2010, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be conducted 2 p.m. on Friday, May 21, 2010, from the chapel of Horne Funeral Home with the Rev. C.R. Conner officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
