turner-jackJack Leonard Turner, 66, of Radford, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2014. He was a retired textile worker, associate minister, and a member of First Baptist Church on Rock Road. He was preceded in death by his father, William Raymond Turner, Jr., brother, Douglas Allen Turner, and sister, Betty Ann Turner Harris.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Cousins Turner; sons, Jack London Turner and his daughter Madison; Sergeant First Class Scott Anthony Turner and his wife Kelly; daughters, Vonetta Moore and her husband George and their children Maya, Cameron and Tre, Alicia Rudd and her children Darius and Erika, and Major Juanita Rohler and her husband Major Dennis Rohler and their children Kory, Devin and Kelsie; mother, Annie Mae Turner; brothers, George Turner and his wife Bettie, and John Turner and his wife Ann; sisters, Romell Coles and her husband Retired Senior Master Sergeant Donald M. Coles, Sr., and Audrey Kelly and her husband Retired Senior Master Sergeant Anthony Kelly, Sr.; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the First Baptist Church, 555 W. Rock Rd in Radford with Rev. C. Coles Casey and Pastor Gary Hash officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Burial Park in Radford. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the SHARE Food program, 644 West Main St., Radford, VA 24141.
