Turner, Franklin Lee

Franklin Lee Turner, 75, of Snidow St. in Pembroke departed this life Friday evening August 31, 2007 at home in the loving care of his family.

Born in Narrows on July 14, 1932 he was a son of the late William Jonah and Ruth Chisenhall Turner. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Junior Jones with whom he made his home; two nieces and their husbands, Sherry and Rusty Kelley and Vickie and Stanley Lucas all of Pembroke; a much loved great-nephew Casey Lucas; an aunt, Bertie Turner Reed of Floyd.

There were many people special to Lee among these were Delbert Collins and his family, the Ward Meredith Family, Pembroke Telephone Employees, Dave from the Canoe Livery, Pam Andrews, Jim and Linda Worley and Dallas Chapman.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. in The Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke with the Rev. James Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg.
