Turman, Sarah Medeline

Sarah Medeline (Pat) Turman, 91, of Narrows, Va., died on Thursday, January 1, 2009. Pat was born in Floyd County, Va., on March 20, 1917, to the late Randolph and Margie Kesler Turman. She was also preceded in death by her two brothers, James Ditte and Eljah P. Turman; and sister, Gretchen Turman.

She is survived by her sister, Ronelda F. Turman, of Christiansburg; two nieces, Margie R. Turman and family, of Seagoville, Texas, and Patricia T. Proco and family, of Colfax, N.C.; and two nephews, Donald E. Turman and family, of Milroy Ind., and George R. Turman and family, of Manassas, Va.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 4, 2009, at The Horne Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 4, 2009, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Neal Turner officiating.
