Turman, Elzie Lee

Elzie Lee Turman, 83, of 501 5th Street SE, Pulaski, died Sunday afternoon, December 17, 2006 at his home.

He was born in Carroll County on November 24, 1923 and was the son of the late Jim Turman and Victoria Vipperman Turman. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lena Mooney Turman.

Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, Dennis Roger and Betty Warden Turman, Morganton, N.C.; granddaughter and spouse, Dina Turman and Byron Boyd, Morganton, N.C.; great-granddaughter, Alexis Boyd, Morganton, N.C.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Earnest Chinault officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. Visiting will be Tuesday evening from the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski.
