Turman, Dallas Phillips

Dallas Phillips Turman, 86, of Hillsville, formerly of Willis, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Turman; brothers, Covie, Golden and Freeman Phillips.

Mrs. Turman was a member of Mira Fork Baptist Church.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Lonnie W. Ogle, Hillsville; son and daughter-in-law, J. Michael and Wanda Turman, Willis; sister, Manilla Phillips, Christiansburg; grandchildren, Jennifer Bayliss and husband Brian, Ryan Turman and wife Heather, Brandon Turman, Jeremy Ogle and wife Joi, Joshua Ogle and fiancée Danielle Nester; great-grandchild, Jenavieve Hoover; friend and caregiver, Irma Kendrick; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, January 21, 2007 at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel, Floyd, with the Rev. S.G. Bolt officiating. Interment will follow at Cox Cemetery, Dugspur. The family would like to express thanks to the Pulaski Health & Rehab Center. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Saturday at Maberry Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
