Annie Piatek Tuggle, 95, of Blacksburg, Va., died on Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at Lewis-Gale Montgomery Hospital. She was born in Wilkesbarre, Pa., on August 15, 1915, to the late George and Mary Ann Puk Piatek. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Howard Taft Tuggle; and a daughter, Joann Tuggle. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, David L. and Barbara Tuggle, of Christiansburg; three grandchildren, Hollie Anne T. Baranick and husband, Zack, of Chattanooga, Tenn., Arron Tuggle and wife, Heather, of Houston, Texas, and Allen Tuggle and wife, Sarah, of Pulaski; four greatgrandchildren, Austin, Seth, Greyson and Emelia Tuggle; a sister, Agnes Hess, of Chicago, Ill.; several nieces and nephews; two special friends, Cindy Mitchell and Candy Willis; and her cat, Blackie. Funeral Services will be conducted 6 p.m. on Friday, February 11, 2011, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Reggie Tuck officiating. Burial will be held 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2011, at the Layland Cemetery, Layland, W.Va. Flowers will be appreciated or memorial contributions may be made to the Blacksburg United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 931, Blacksburg, Va. 24063.
