amem_lighthouse2.jpg Edith “Eadie” Lee Durden Tucker, 59 of Fairlawn, passed away Friday, April 4, 2014 at Lewis-Gale Medical Center in Salem. She was the daughter of the late Elizabeth C. Durden of Columbia, SC. In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Howard and Virginia Tucker and by two brothers-in-law Jerry Edward and Norman Woodrow Tucker.

Survivors include her husband of 41 years Warren Douglas “Doug” Tucker of Fairlawn; daughter, Tamara Leigh Tucker of Marriottsville, MD; son, Douglas Tucker of Fairlawn; father and his wife, George Thomas and Barbara Durden of Winterville, GA; sister, Linda Nieradka and husband Russell Swansea of SC; two brothers and sister-in-law, Frank Wayne and Cheryl Durden and Robert Donald Elmore all of Swansea, SC; two sisters-in-law, Alice Diane Tucker of Winston-Salem, NC and Deborah Lois Cox of Charlotte, NC; brother-in-law and wife, John and Susie Tucker of Apex, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin with Rev. Frankie Graham officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
