Tuck, Rena Hopkins

Rena Hopkins Tuck, 89, of Belspring, died Friday, January 19, 2007 at Carilion New River Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harmond M. Tuck; a son, Howard Tuck; two brothers, Garfield and Luther Hopkins. Surviving are a son, Charles Tuck, Pulaski; a daughter, Elsie Akers, Dublin; three brothers, Shelby Hopkins, Anchorage, Alaska, Lewis Hopkins, Radford, James Andrew Hopkins, Plant City, Fla.; three sisters, Viola Viers, Fairlawn, Lucille Thompson, Dublin, and Ruth Crawford, Maine; a special nephew, Jerry Smith and a special niece, Alisa Hannifan; ten grandchildren and several great-grandchildren also survive. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Carilion Radford Rehabilitation Center for their kindness and support.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the DeVilbiss Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Earnest Chinault officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, January 21, 2007 at the DeVilbiss Funeral Home.
