Tuck Jr., Seab A.

Seab A. Tuck Jr., 91, of Fairfield Glade, Tenn., passed away February 13, 2012. He was born November 18, 1924, in Eggleston, the son of Seab A. Sr. and Estelle Still Tuck. Early in his life he moved to the nearby town of Pembroke, where his father was the town doctor. He attended Roanoke College before enlisting in the United States Army Air Corps. He was trained as a P-38 pilot in reconnaissance; however, the war ended before he was stationed overseas. He returned to Roanoke College, and became a pharmaceutical salesman with National Drug company upon graduation. The company became Merrill-Day, where he retired after 44 years as a division sales manager. Scab was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity, the Shriners, and the Lions club. He was married to Louise Laymon for over 60 years. Together, they had three children, Scab III, (Patti), of Nashville, Tenn., Loudnn Palmer (Bob), of Indianapolis, Ind., and John, deceased. They have seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A long time member of Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church, he was most proud of his work on the columbarium and the Good Samaritan Senior Living Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor may be made to the Good Samaritan Society, 100 Samaritan Way Crossville, TN, 38558. Memorial Services will be held Friday February 17, 2012, at Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church. Hood Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of arrangements.
