Trussell, Laura E.

Laura E. Trussell, 61, of Roanoke, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Ralph and Ellen Trussell. Laura went to Montgomery County Schools. She was employed with Tom’s Potato Chips Company in Salem until they closed the plant. She later went to work for Carilion Roanoke Memorial and had been there for many years. Her plans were to retire in November. She was loved by everyone. May God bless her. Survivors include her children, William and Lelita Trussell, of Roanoke; brothers, Gene Trussell, of Blacksburg, Ralph Trussell, of North Carolina, and James Busby Trussell, of Roanoke; sisters, Martha Brown, of Roanoke, Lucy Claxton, of Shawsville, and Myrtle Trussell, of Blacksburg; grandchildren, Damonta Daniels, Dekqwan Trussell, Inaya Lark and Ayanna Trussell; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held at noon Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at Serenity Funeral Home. Interment will be in Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home. Arrangements by Serenity Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
