Basil Benjamin Trivette, 98, of Peterstown, WV, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2019, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA. Born April 24, 1921, in Princeton, WV, he was the son of the late Perry Monroe Trivette and Geneive Hattie Green Trivette. Basil was U.S. Army World War II Veteran. He was a member of the Church of God for 71 years, most recently at the Kellysville Church of God, he retired from Celanese, and loved to fish. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother who will be missed dearly.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Letha M. Trivette; one daughter, Judy Ann McClaugherty; one son, Alvin Wayne Trivette; one great grandson, Cody Ray McGuire; one great granddaughter, Nicole Stanton; and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include his wife, Lila P. Hedrick Sneed Trivette; three daughters, Carolyn Sue Cregger and husband Samuel Lee of Narrows, VA, Linda Hazelwood and husband Joe of Lindside, WV, and Dehronda Buckland and husband Lewis of Bozoo, WV; one brother, Malcum Mark Trivette and wife Zola of Tucson, AZ; one step-son, Stephen Sneed and wife Dawn of Bristol, VA; one daughter-in-law, Judy Boothe Trivette of Narrows, VA; and several grand, great grand, and great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 11, 2019, at the Kellysville Church of God with Pastor Franklin Adkins officiating. Burial with Military Rites will follow at Peterstown Cemetery in Rich Creek, VA. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until time of services on Thursday at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in honor of Basil be made to the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews (P.O. Box 97339, Washington DC 20077-7472).
