Trivett, Charles Allen

Charles Allen Trivett, 73, of Peterstown, WV, departed this life Monday morning January 28, 2019 at his home on Indian Mills Road. Born on July 24, 1945, he was a son of the late Roby and Edith Mae Thomas Trivett.

He was proud to be a U S Army VietNam Combat Veteran; was a great sportsman, enjoyed fishing and hunting (won the Red Man Bass Fishing Tournament’s Big Fish Award); was a life member of BASS and FLW and had belonged to the VFW. He retired from the Energizer Battery Company in Asheboro, NC.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Brenda Garner Trivett; his brothers Bradley Frank Trivett and Roby Trivett, Jr.; his sisters Nancy Marie Trivett, Betty Sue Clark, Delcia Mae Cordle, Elizabeth Ann Cordle, and Dorthy Loraine Warren.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife Libby Wright Trivett; his sons and daughters-in-law Jeffery Charles and Colleen Trivett of High Point, NC, Carl Anthony II and Alyssa Needham of Christiansburg, Barry William Needham and Brittany Owens of Newport; his grandchildren Jessica, Cody, Kameron, Cole, Hunter, Rachel, Camille, June, Colette, and Carly; his sister Janie Carol Staley and brother-in-law Buddy Staley of Baconton, Georgia and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 6:00 pm in The Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the services. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday on their farm in Summers Co., WV with military honors by VFW and American Legion Posts. Online condolences may be sent by visiting kendallfuneralhome.com
