Tribble, George Lee

George Lee Tribble, 83, of Dublin, Va., passed away early Thursday, March 25, 2010, in the Pulaski Community Hospital. Born in Halifax County on October 22, 1926, he was the son of the late Frank and Cecil Nester Tribble. Mr. Tribble served in the Navy during World War II and retired from the Department of the Army with Hercules at the RAAP. He was also a retired fireman with the Dublin Fire Department. He was a member of the Dublin United Methodist Church, Henry Clay Lodge and the VFW. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Palmer Tribble; daughter and son-in-law, Di Anna and Glen Joerger, of Lithia, Fla.; half brother and his wife, Wayne and Linda Tribble, of Forest, Va.; grandchildren, Cody and Alex Joerger, of Lithia, Fla. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 27, 2010, from the Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Rowland officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. The family will receive friends and family one hour before the service at Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski. In lieu of flowers the family wishes memorials be made to the Dublin United Methodist Church. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski, Va.
