Trail, Lucy Almeda Williams

Lucy Almeda Williams Trail, 88 of Dublin, died Friday August 23, 2013. She was born on December 5, 1924 in Wythe Co., and was the daughter of the late Minnie B. Ogle Williams and George S. Williams. She and her husband were charter members of Newbern Community Christian Church. Mrs. Trail was a retired bookkeeper, and was known to many as a servant to all. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Leroy Trail, step-mother, Mary Allison Williams, brothers, Rudolph Williams, and Howard Williams and a sister, Anna Mae Cox. She is survived by her children and their spouses; Michael and Kathy Trail, Dennis and Janet Trail, Vicky and Steve Sands, and Curtis Trail; brother and his wife; Thomas C. Williams, Sr. and wife Viola: grandchildren and their spouses; Brad and Nancy Davidson, Sarah and James Heenan, Timothy and Katrina Trail, Staci and Jerry Childers, Tracy Trail and Kenneth Sands: Great Grandchildren; Kendra Trail, Max and Jake Davidson, and John Michael Hennan. She was also survived by Jonathan Smith, who was like a son to her, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 26, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Newbern Community Christian Church, with Minister Cliff McLawhorn and Minister Jeff Curtis officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday at the church from Noon until 2:00 p.m. service time.
