trail_delmas_jabeDelmas Jabe Trail, 76, of Salem, Va., and formerly the Snowville Community, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2011, at his home. Born on November 13, 1934, in Pulaski County, he was the son of the late Janis Trail and Sylvia Cox Trail. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was retired from The Virginia Department of Transportation with 25 years of service as a highway inspector. Surviving is his wife of 52 years, Burnis Marie Trail, of Salem; children, Preston Trail, of Roanoke, Donna Saliba, of Salem, and Regina Trail, of Roanoke; grandchildren, Jessica Boyer, Jennifer Saliba, Brandon Saliba and Brittany Saliba; and sisters, Cleo Trail Burtt and husband, Charles, of Broadrun, Va., and Judith Trail Stemple, of Bristol, Va. Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 17, 2011, in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski with the Rev. Howard Torrence and the Rev. James Torrence officiating. Interment will follow in the Dishon Family Cemetery, Snowville with Military Honors conducted by the Pulaski VFW Post #1184. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, February 16, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Bower Funeral Home.
