Tolley, Sr., Walter Ray

Walter Ray Tolley, Sr., 81, of Christiansburg, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 25, 2015. He was retired from the Montgomery County Public Schools system and proudly served in the U.S. Army.

Walter was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Doris; mother, Rena; sisters and brothers-in-law, Violet and Steve Woolwine, Virginia and Jim Harmon. He is survived by his children, Walter Ray Tolley, Jr., Elisha Tolley, Regina (Todd) Montgomery, Cheryl (Randy White) Tolley; step-children, Connie McGuire, Donald McGuire, Ronald McGuire, and Darrell McGuire; grandchildren, Ashley (Jeremy) Bower, Chasity Phillips, Miranda White, Courtney Tolley, Whitney Tolley; great-grandchildren, Cayden Meadows, Molly Bower, Colton Carroll, Haley Correll, and Rylan Johnson.

The family would like to thank the nurses the staff of Good Samaritan Hospice for their care of Walter.

The Visitation will be on Friday, November 27, 2015, from 6-8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2015, at 1 p.m. at Walton Pentecostal Holiness Church, with Pastor Lee Sarver officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin.
