James “Jim” Dewey Toler of Floyd, VA passed into the Lord’s hands on Thursday, October 14, 2021. He was born in the town of Laredo, West Virginia on February 9, 1935.

He is preceded in death by his parents Arnold Richard and Edna Zena Sergent Toler and his wife of 49 years Carol Jean Mills Toler. He is survived by his son and daughter in law Richard and Donna Toler, his grandchildren Adam Toler, Kelsei Barker, Rachel Toler and his great-grandchildren Bradley James and Wyatt Cline Barker.

He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and retired from Radford Army Ammunition Plant. He and Carol lived in Draper, VA for many years and after his retirement they moved to Floyd County to be closer to his son and family.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 12:00-1:00, service at 1:00 at Stevens Funeral Home in Pulaski, VA. Graveside service with military honors will be at 2:00 at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin, VA.

Jim and Carol loved their church family and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Trinity Baptist Church, 4008 Robinson Tract Road, Pulaski, VA 24301 in their memory.
