Tolbert, Michael Wayne

Michael Wayne Tolbert, 54, of Pulaski, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at his home. He was born November 17, 1957, in Radford, and was the son of Carol Rankin Tolbert and Charles Wayne Tolbert. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William David Rankin and Mary Jane Rankin, and Charles William Tolbert and Goldie Tolbert. Mike was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish and ride his Harley. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Marines. Michael is survived by his sons, Brandon Hunter Tolbert and Thorne Tolbert, both of Pulaski; a sister and brother-in-law, Carol Lynne and Ricky Jones, Newbern; a brother and sister-in-law, Tee Blair and Debbie Tolbert, Blountville, Tenn.; nieces and nephews, Zachary Tolbert, Caleb Tolbert, Michael Tolbert and Kylie Tolbert, all of Tennessee; special friend and companion, Lori Hale, Pulaski; aunt and uncle, Barbara and Robert Ingram, Pulaski; and cousins, Bradley Powers, California, Karri Powers, Delaware, and Channing Powers, Tennessee. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, December 17, 2011, from the Stevens Funeral Chapel, Pulaski, with Dr. Olin Whitener officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Visiting will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends until the service hour. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Inc., Pulaski.
