Eddie Tolbert, Jr., age 84 of Pulaski died Friday November 26, 2010 in Lewis Gale Hospital – Pulaski. He was born January 27, 1926 in Dublin, and was the son of the late Iowa Mabry Tolbert and Edward Tolbert, Sr. He was a member of the New Dublin Presbyterian Church, was active in W.W.II, having served in the United States Army where he participated in the battles of Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, David Tolbert, C.O. (Slim) Tolbert, Leonard Tolbert, Archie Tolbert, and Donald Tolbert, sisters, Rubie Tolbert Marshall, and Katie Jarrells. He is survived by his wife: Martha Loftin Tolbert: 2 sons; Richard Tolbert and his wife Margaret of Rockville, MD, and Danny Tolbert and his wife Madelle of Frederick, MD: 2 sisters; Elizabeth Curtis of Rockville, MD, and Dorothy McClure of Stoneville, NC. Grandchildren: Madelle Tolbert, Elizabeth Tolbert, Amy Tolbert, Rachel Tappis and her husband Chris, and Caroline Tolbert. Funeral services will be held Monday November 29, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the New Dublin Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Andrew Taylor-Troutman officiating. Interment will follow in church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3 until 5 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home.
