Tolbert, Eva Jay Burke

Eva Jay Burke Tolbert, 74, of Pulaski, passed away Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, in the Radford Health and Rehab Center. Born in Dainte, on June 16, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Carson and Danah Sayers Burke. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Emmett W. Tolbert Sr.; two sisters and two brothers. She was a lifetime member of the Newbern Church of God. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Emmett and Angie Tolbert, of Dublin, Terry and Dana Tolbert, of Titusville, Fla., Michelle and Jerry Williams, of Dublin, and Ashley T. Montgomery, of Pulaski. Also surviving are grandchildren and their spouse, Kevin and Crystal Tolbert, Travis Tolbert, Sarah Tolbert, Morgan Williams, Brandon Montgomery, Emma Montgomery and Aiden Cox; sisters, Emmajean McPeak and Kate Christian; and many special nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 3, 2013, at 1 p.m. from the Newbern Church of God, with the Rev. Clayton Quesenberry officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. The Family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Newbern Church of God.
