Tinley, James Ellis

James Ellis Tinley, 67 of Elliston VA (formerly from Radford) passed into the arms of angels on this date with his best friend by his side in the early morning hours of December 28, 2014. A best friend, best Daddy, and best “Popaw” left his earthly bond for a new home in Heaven free from pain and suffering, leaving his loved ones with broken hearts but a million wonderful memories to carry forever.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Virginia Harrison and Bruce Tinley; Stepfather Charles Harrison; Sister in Law Enoulea Colleen Mathnerly. He is survived by his wife, Linda K. Tinley; sons “of the heart” Charlie Garland and wife Nikki; Daughter, Sandra J. Tinley. Grandchildren, Brandon Garland, Caleb Mullins, Derek Donathan, Nate Garland and his special grandbaby Desi Garland, Brothers, Robert Tinley and wife Doris, Richard Tinley and wife. Several nieces and nephews and special friends Darlene and Melanie.

There will be a Memorial Service for friends and loved ones Friday January 2, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Horne Funeral Home.
