Timmons, Gerri Whittaker

Gerri Whittaker Timmons, 43, of Bristol, formerly of Parrott, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 28, 2016. She was a Class of 1994 graduate of Mary Baldwin College and received her Master of Education from Western Kentucky University specializing in marriage and family therapy.

Theatre was a source of great joy and fulfillment in Gerri’s life and she had recently become involved with Theatre Bristol. She was looking forward to being part of their next production.

Survivors include her husband, John Randolph Timmons; daughters, Kendall and Alexis Timmons; parents, Gerald and Brenda Whittaker of Elon, N.C.; brother, Raymond Whittaker and Laura Armelio and their son Andrew, all of Lexington, Mass.; and many special friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services will follow at 7 pm with Rev. Teresa Tolbert officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Gerri’s name be made to Mary Baldwin College, to Theatre Bristol, 512 State St., Bristol, VA 37620  or to your local humane society.
