Tickle, Sr., Gary Edward

Gary Edward Tickle Sr., 66 of Kegley, West Virginia, succumbed to COPD on November 28, 2021 with his sons by his side.

A talented trim carpenter for most of his life, illness forced him into retirement several years ago. Known to friends simply as “Tick”, Gary was a down-to-earth man who enjoyed the simple pleasures in life.

Gary was predeceased by his mother, Della Simpkins and stepfather John Simpkins and brother-in-law, Clyde Vaught.

He is survived by his children, Gary Tickle Jr. and wife Robin, Samantha Becker and husband Frank, and John (Jay) Tickle, along with his father, Charlie Tickle, sisters Linda Vaught, Carol (Eric) Davis, Terri (Joe) Booth, and Darlene (Dee) Williams, as well as 4 grandchildren, Gage, Kate, Elizabeth and Elijah, 15 nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his life will be held on December 11th at 1:00 pm at Carol’s home.

Please dress comfortably. Gary wouldn’t have been caught dead in a suit and tie, so why should you?
