Thurman, Thomas Eugene

Thomas Eugene Thurman, age 77 of Pulaski passed away Friday, February 1, 2008 at his home. Born December 23, 1930 in Lewis County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Oliver Bryan Thurman and Louisia Rolph Thurman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Thurman and one son, Timothy Franklin Thurman; four sisters, Lillian T. Rouse, Mildred T. King, Kathryn T. Jackson and Wanda T. Ell and four brothers, Elmer R. Thurman, Jennings B. Thurman, Lloyd E. Thurman and Arvid L. Thurman.

Mr. Thurman was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Volvo GM in Dublin. He was a barber for many years and a manager for the former Mackie Vending Company in Radford.

Five Grandchildren- Five Great Grandchildren-

Brother – Otha Thurman – Ewing, KY

Funeral services will be held Tuesday 11:00 A.M. at the Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, Dublin with Pastor Michael Collins officiating. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum with military honors conducted by the Pulaski VFW Post # 1184.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski.
