Thornton, Roy Junior

Roy Junior ‘Sonny’ Thornton, 72, of Christiansburg, passed away on February 11, 2022. Sonny served in the U.S. Army in the Military Police and worked at New River Nissan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy N. and Dollie Adele Thornton. Sonny is survived by his loving wife, Judy Thornton; sister, Joyce Thornton Sims (Rickey); cat, Orange Fellow; nephew, Jeffrey Sims; great-nephew, Zachary Ryan Sims; as well as many cousins and friends.

Visitation is Monday, February 28, 2022, from 1-2 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 2 p.m. in the Chapel. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg.
