Thorne, Jason Allen

Jason Allen Thorne, 30, of Meadows Road in Pearisburg departed this life Saturday morning February 2, 2008 from injuries he received in an automobile accident on Route 100 not far from his home.

Born on February 11, 1977 at Pearisburg he was a son of Tommy Allen and Eva Saunders Thorne of Pearisburg. He enjoyed playing softball in the County Leagues, and hunting for deer in the Giles County mountains.

Jason leaves to love and cherish his memory his parents; a twin sister Tina Marie and husband Paul Kendall Collins of Pembroke, a sister “Niki” Athena Nicole Vandegirft and husband Perry of Pearisburg; paternal grandmother Eunice Thorne (Mrs. Lawrence); maternal grandparents Oscar and Annie Saunders; his Godson Tyler Bateman; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday evening February 4, 2008 at 8:00 PM in The Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 PM before the services.

The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the funeral expenses.
