Thompson, William Steven

William Steven (Steve) Thompson, 51, of Claytor Lake in Dublin, Va., died early Wednesday morning, November 28, 2007 at his Claytor Lake Home.

He was born July 3, 1956 in Troy, Ala. He was a long-time employee of Alcatel Communications in Plano, Texas having worked as a systems engineer and was a member of the Dublin Presbyterian Church.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Thompson Johnson. He is survived by his parents, John William (Bill) Thompson and Jean Duncan Thompson, both of Dublin. Also survived by a niece, Ashley DeHart Davis and her husband, Will, of Richmond, Va.; and two special friends, Ricky Morris of Dublin and Kenny Tickle of Fredericksburg, Va.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Dublin Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Michael Blouse officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends on Saturday in the fellowship hall following the service.
