Lillian Huffman Thompson, 95, formerly of Narrows, Va., went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 10, 2010, at Russell County Medical Center in Lebanon, Virginia. She was born in Russell County, Virginia on November 30, 1914, and was the daughter of the late William Cleveland and Mary Margaret Helton Huffman.

In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Leo Thompson; a brother, William Edgar Huffman; and five sisters, Rosalee Goolsby, Florene Chafin, Marie Cox, Lena Gross, and Annie Kemper Huffman.

Lillian was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Narrows.

She is survived by one half brother, Ralph Samuel Huffman, of Lebanon; four half sisters, Faye Taylor, of New Tazewell, Tennessee, Betty Kiser and Patty Sue Huff, both of Lebanon, and Connie Laster, of Cleveland, Virginia; and special friends, Mike and Kathy Mabry, Henry and Amanda Brooks, Josh and Abigail Brooks, Mary Clark and David Whittaker.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 13, 2010, at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows, with the Rev. Dennis Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Narrows. The family will receive friends at Riffe’s Funeral Service, Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.
