Thompson, James (Jimmy) Edward

James (Jimmy) Edward Thompson, 63, of Dublin, and formally of Roanoke, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2011. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Katherine Thompson. Left to cherish his memory are his sister and husband, Ruth (Sis) and Steve Showalter; brother and wife, William and Margo Thompson Sr.; nieces and nephews, Julia and husband Ryan Adkins, Billy Thompson, Greg Thompson, Terri and husband Terry Mitchell; grand nieces and nephews, Lauren and Peyton Adkins, Jack and Jace Thompson, Kellen Mitchell; special friend, Peaches. The family will receive friends Monday October 3, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at DeVilbiss Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday October 4, 2011 at Sunset Cemetery in Christiansburg with Minister Ernie Depew officiating. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Newbern Community Christian Church. The family is being served by DeVilbiss Funeral Home, Radford Va.
