Thompson, Ida Pearl

Ida Pearl Thompson, of Christiansburg, began her life with the Lord on her 89th birthday, Sunday, October 25, 2015.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Presley and Eura Hylton Buckner; husband, Pleas Arnold Thompson; brothers, Kelly, Marchie, Edward, James, and Luther Buckner; sisters, Candis Phillips, Dorus Martin, Frances Bishop, Nora Bee Buckner, and Elva Gearheart. Ida is survived by several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Kedith Maynor.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, from 5-7 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Harbor of Hope Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Richard Kingrea officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
