Thompson, Drema Ratcliffe
Drema Ratcliffe Thompson, 53, of Christiansburg, passed away on August 28, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Lloyd Ratcliffe and Frances Sumler Ratcliffe; brother, Timothy Lynn Sanson; and father-in-law, Charles Winston Thompson.
Drema is survived by her husband of 31 years, Steve Thompson; son, Jared Thompson; mother-in-law, Jean Thompson; brothers and sisters, Linda Faye Adkins, Juanita Ann Sanson, Earl Lee Sanson and wife Shirley, Tenna Marie Saunders, Connie Sue Helm and husband David; nieces and nephews, Tonya Adams, Teresa Sanson, Natasha Croy, Michelle Bullion, Renee Wells, Brianna Sanson, Larry Adkins, Darrell Edwards, Brian Adkins, Tony Saunders, Nathan Sanson; sisters-in-law, Shirley Thompson Phillips and Sherry Ann Thompson; several great nieces and nephews and her feathered friend, Kit.
Her special caretaker was her son, Jared. Drema enjoyed many crafts, such as crocheting, quilting and ceramics. She also loved watching the Game Show Network.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 12 to 2 p.m. at New Hope Church of God. Memorial Service will follow at 2 p.m., with Pastor T. Michael Bond officiating. Burial will be held directly after the Memorial Service in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg. Memorials may be made to the diabetes or kidney associations.

Drema I will miss talking to you because you would always make me laugh .God have another angel 😇 He have called home .I will always think about when I talk to you and person are on F.B you like to tell jokes ,Prayers for your family & Friends 💔🙏🏽😢

This is not Goodbye, my friend, just a pause in our friendship…..I will see you again one day sooner than later. I sure enjoyed working with you in the past. That’s where we met and we stayed friends…I love you and I’m there for Jared and Steve if they need me . RIP sweet lady.

Drema was such a good friend to me even after we left school and met up again on facebook it’s like there was not ever anytime in between . May you rest in peace now sweetie I’ll carry the memories with me

Drema we loved talking to you at the bus stop waiting on the head start bus. No matter how you were doing,you always encouraged us. You loved your son and it showed. Fly high sweet lady.
