Thomas, Charley Lee
Charley Lee Thomas, 73, of Pulaski, died Thursday evening, July 26, 2007 at his home. Born in Pulaski county on August 13, 1933, he was the son of the late Charlie Edgar and Annie Mae Mitchell Thomas.
Charley was a long time employee of Marshall Welding Co., and a member of the Cornerview Pentecostal Holiness Church, Snowville.
Charley was also preceded in death by his wife of many years, Melba Colleen Moore Thomas; sister, Farley Rosenbaum and brothers, Billy Thomas and Lee Clark. He was a veteran of the United States Army in Korea.
Surviving are his son, Larry Thomas of Pulaski; his granddaughter, Skyla Thomas of Pulaski; his sister, Edna Collins of Radford and his brother, James (Jimmy) Thomas of Dublin.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 30, 2007, at 11 a.m., from the Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Carson Linkous and the Rev. Frankie Graham officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin, with VFW Post 1187 conducting graveside rites. Visitation will be Sunday, July 29, 2007, after 5 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 7 to 9 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorials be made to the Cornerview Pentecostal Holiness Church, 205 Wades Lane, Christiansburg, Va., 24073.
