Thigpen, Golonda Cummings

Golonda Cummings Thigpen, 76, of Fairlawn, passed away peacefully in her sleep, on Wednesday, February 22, 2012, to join her beloved husband, Murphy C. Thigpen and their daughter, Suzette Thigpen Fariss. Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Elva Cummings; daughter, Jill Thigpen Whitley; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2012, at DeVilbiss Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lyn Whitley Harding officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Burial Park, Radford. The family will receive friends at 9 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service at 10. Arrangements made by DeVilbiss Funeral Home, Radford.
