Terry, Sr., Samuel Michael

Samuel Michael Terry Sr., age 63, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at his home. Born June 10, 1961, in Monroe County, he was the son of the late Robert Lewis Terry Sr. and Almira Susan Wickline Terry.

Sammy was of the Pentecostal Faith and enjoyed going catfishing and hunting. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Karen Dalton and Rebecca Terry.

Survivors include his son, Michael Terry and wife Kim of Radford, VA; three grandchildren, Gregory, Nova, and Kailee; two brothers, Robert “Bobby” Terry Jr. and wife DeeDee, and Billy Terry, all of Pearisburg, VA; three sisters, Joan Boone of Lindside, WV, Betty Clark and husband John of Narrows, VA, and Lisa Arnold of Lindside, WV; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00PM on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at the Bradley Cemetery in Lindside, WV, with Barry Harper officiating. A visitation will be held from 1:30PM to 2:30PM on Sunday at Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home in Peterstown, WV.

Chad Arnold, Britney Arnold, Michael Terry, Jake Neely, Billy Terry, and Ethan Owens will serve as pallbearers. Bobby Terry will serve as honorary pallbearer.
