Terry, Florence Knight

Florence N. Knight Terry, age 75, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2022. Born June 6, 1947, in Rock Camp, WV, she was the daughter of the late James and Irene Rogers Knight.

Florence was a member of the Spruce Run Church of the Brethren. She loved angels and cardinals, as her favorite color was red. She enjoyed watching television, especially Days of Our Lives. She was a homemaker whose greatest love was being with her family. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Berman W. Terry; three sisters, Violet Shaver, Dorothy “Susie” Thomas, and Irene “Fatty” Allen; and granddaughter, Harriett Ilene Combs. Those left to cherish Florence’s memory include two sons, Ezra Terry and Dale Terry and fiancé Lawanda, all of Lindside, WV; four daughters, Rebecca “Becky” Sevy, Julia Combs and husband Ernie, Loretta Cassady and husband Billy Joe, and Pansy Cassady and husband Jeramy, all of Lindside, WV; one brother, Charlie Knight and wife Mary of Flora, IN; one sister, Doris McDonough and fiancé Wesley King of New Castle, DE; six grandchildren, Travis Gillespie, Karen Gillespie and fiancé Craig, Billy Cassady and wife Pamela, Emily Brooks and husband Tyler, Ashley Combs, and Samantha Combs; three great grandchildren, Kissiah Gillespie, Lexi Brooks, and Everlee Brooks; and her beloved dog, Lexi, whom she referred to as “My Baby”.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, WV, with Pastor Rodger Boothe officiating. Burial will follow at the Bradley Cemetery in Lindside, WV.
