Teele, Lois Carter

Lois Carter Teele, 92, of Christiansburg and formerly of New York, N.Y., a retired nurse and active community advocate was called to her eternal home to receive her crown on Wednesday. She was a graduate of Christiansburg Institute, a member of Schaeffer Baptist Church, and a lifetime member of the NAACP and served on the membership committee. Mrs. Teele advocated for the rights of all people through dedicated community and political involvement.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Teele and sons, John Teele and Byron Teele (Carol Teele). Left to cherish her memory are her sons Anthony Teele (Connie Teele) and Stephen Teele (Isra Teele), grandsons Joseph Teele and Brandon Trussell, 2 step-grandsons and 10 great grandchildren, 2 sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, a host of nieces and nephews and many dedicated friends.

Memorial Service will be held Sunday, June 9, 2019, 3:00pm at Scattergood Church, 135 Scattergood Drive Christiansburg, Va. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
