Teel, Fred E.

Fred E. Teel, 92, of Christiansburg, Va., went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 31, 2011. He was born on February 1, 1918, in Floyd, Va. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Ethel Duncan Teel; and his son, Leonard Teel. He is survived by his son, Donald Teel, of Christiansburg; his daughter, Irene T. Hodges, of Hilton Head, S.C.; four grandchildren, Clifton Hodges, Constance Gordan, Heather Teel and Bernie Hodges; as well as four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He served in World War II from 1944 to 1946 and retired from RAAP after 31 years of service. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 3, 2011, at Horne Funeral Service with the Funeral Service being held 11 a.m. on Friday, February 4, 2011, at the Christiansburg Church of Christ with Mr. Dennis Curd officiating.
