Teany, Sharlene Chumbley

Sharlene Chumbley Teany, 56, of Radford, departed this life Wednesday, February 23, 2011. Charlene was retired from Inland Motors with 19 years of service. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Chumbley, and father-in-law, Ludlow Teany. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, George R. (Rick) Teany; son, T.J. Teany; grandson, Logan Teany; mother and stepfather Eva and Don Phillips; sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Danny Hawley; mother-in-law, Margery Teany; sister-in-law, Rita Martin; uncle, Sammy Nunley; nephews, Shawn Hawley, Travis Hawley, Andy Martin and Kelly Martin; best friend, Joanie Turman; her K-9 companion, Holly; and many friends and cousins. The family will receive friends Friday, February 25, 2011 from 5 to 7 p.m. at DeVilbiss Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at the funeral home Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Bobby Sutphin officiating with burial to follow in the Teany Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the funeral home to offset funeral expenses. DeVilbiss Funeral Home is in charge of handling the arrangements.
