Taylor, William Reese

William Reese Taylor (“Pop Bill”), 91, from Floyd, VA. Passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2018. He was born in Tazewell County, Va to the late John R. Taylor and Ella Rose Hall Taylor.

He is preceded in death by his twin brother Joseph Taylor, his brothers, Richard Taylor, Howard Taylor, and Mozell Turlley; His sisters, Virginia Asbury, Thelma Osborne, and Nelsene Holbrook.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Willard Whitlow Sr. Grandson WJ Whitlow Jr. and wife Michelle; Grandchildren Joshua, Amanda, Aimee, Andrea, and Jonathan Whitlow.

His brother Johnny Taylor, Eugene Taylor and wife Nancy Taylor and his sister Peggy Thompson. His special friend and ex-wife, Sara Murray.
He is also survived by many special nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

William loved to go fishing and was a huge fan of the New York Yankees. He also loved to watch his grandchildren grow up through the years and especially loved watching them play sports. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 5-8 at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Roy Turpin officiating the service.
