Thelma McCrickard Taylor, 90 of Pulaski, died Friday morning February 10, 2006 at her residence. Born March 9, 1915 in Pocahontas, Va., she was the daughter of the late Lelia Amos McCrickard and Joseph McCrickard. She was a member of the Memorial Baptist Church in Pulaski.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Theodore Jackson Taylor, Sr., and a daughter, Kay Frances Simmons. Mrs. Taylor was one of 12 children.

She is survived by one son, Theodore Jackson Taylor, Jr. of Pulaski; three daughters, Elizabeth Ann Walker of Williamsburg, Va., Nancy Carolyn Weddle and her husband Jack of Norwood, N.C., and Mary Lou Crawford and her husband Richard of Orangeburg, S.C.; a sister, Virginia McCrickard Turner of Collinsville, Va. Also survived by a son-in-law, Andrew Simmons of Wilmington, N.C., and 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be held Monday February 13, 2006 at 2 p.m. in Oakwood Cemetery with the Rev. David Lones officiating. The family will receive friends briefly at the cemetery after the service. There will be no visiting at the funeral home.
