Taylor, Shirley Cressel
Shirley Cressel Taylor, 81, previously from Radford, but lived her last 10 years in Snowville, was taken to her heavenly home Wednesday morning surrounded by her daughter Sonja; son-in-law Gordon; her grandchildren Kelsey and Charles and Brandon.
She was preceded in death by her parents Berman and Maggie Cressel; husband Emmett Taylor; daughter Donna Kay Taylor, and many sisters and brothers.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Sonja Brimer and Gordon of Snowville, special granddaughter Kelsey Brimer and Brandon Smith of Johnson City, TN; special grandson Charles Brimer of Snowville; sister, Elise Holbrook; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Also two surviving daughters Shelia and Sherry of Radford and their children & grandchildren.
Special thanks to Pauline Worrell and Wanda Thornton for the special care and love so that Sonja could keep her at home and care for her.
Special thanks to Terry Hash, Tamie Hall, Miranda Holback-Ball, Kayla Kibler from Good Samaritan Hospice for the excellent care and love they showed for my dear sweet momma.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 8th, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Zane Cox officiating. There will be no visitation.

Children shelia Whitlock and sherry Taylor grandchildren who she loved with all of her heart Serena and Marcus tantong, Cheyenne and Richard harless, Walker dalton, (her favorite) James Huntley, Bethany dalton, great grandchildren Kaleb tangtong, Anthony tangtong, daisy tangtong, rj harless . Shirley loved everyone she had the kindest heart and she had an amount of forgiveness that was something to look up too thank you granny forever having an ear to hear a problem kisses for booboos and hugs when tears fell and protection when it was needed you were the best granny ever thank you I hope one day I can forgive and love as easily as you always did.. love u forever give granddaddy a hug for me tell my dad i said I love him have fun I guess you are just on the road again

I hate that. I really never got to meet you. But I know you are my dad’s aunt and I would like to give my condolence. To my family in Virginia that has lost their loved one. May you rest in peace. And fly high with the angels and watch over the rest of the family. Love always Allen cressel kids
