Taylor, Sandra Hopkins

Sandra Hopkins Taylor, 57, of Christiansburg, Va., died Saturday, September 11, 2010, at her home. She was born in Christiansburg, Va. on May 13, 1953, to the late James and Inez Smith Hopkins. Sandra was a C.N.A. with the Showalter Center at Warm Hearth Village with 23 and a half years of service. Sandra was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Robert Taylor; one daughter and son-in-law, Drema and Mike Cornelison, all of Christiansburg; one granddaughter, Taylor Younce; two grandsons, Bubba Cornelison, Tucker Cornelison; very special friends, Bobby and Leota Cook, of Pilot, Marie and Clarence Rice, Emma and Roger Poff, all of Christiansburg. The family would like to give a warm thank you to the people at hospice, Lisa, Wendy, Aaron, Debbie and Sharon. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, September 15, 2010, at 11 a.m. in the Mt. Top Mission Church with the Rev. Virgil McHone officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society , 2840 Electric Road, Suite 106A, Roanoke, Va. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg.
