Taylor, Joyce Wills

Joyce Taylor, age 68, of Peterstown, WV, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2018, at the Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem, NC. Born August 22, 1949, in Peterstown, WV, she was the daughter of the late Ross and Edna Jackson Wills.

Joyce was a member of the Bozoo Christian Church and was a bus driver for Monroe County schools, where she retired after 38 years of service.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Wills. Survivors include her loving husband of 34 years, Mervin D. Taylor; two daughters, Melissa Thorne and husband Dean of Narrows, VA, and Michelle May and husband Mark of Tell City, IN; one step-son, David Taylor and wife Jennifer of Peterstown, WV; one sister, Jeannie Ferki and husband Joe of Franklin, VA; two brothers, Terry Wills and wife Dorletta of Bozoo, WV, and Paul Wills and wife Laura of Christiansburg, VA; two grandsons, Andrew Robertson and wife Sierra of Cashmere, WV, and Taylor Robertson and wife Holly of Ballard, WV; one granddaughter, Alexandra May-Zink and husband Andy of Huntingburg, IN; two step-grandsons, Jonathon Taylor of Christiansburg, VA, and Little David Taylor of Peterstown, WV; two step-granddaughters, Haley Taylor of Peterstown, WV, and Jewels Eubank and husband Jacob of Olympia, WA; two great grandsons, Reed and Kashton; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, WV, with Minister Terry Kornegay officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset View Cemetery in Bozoo, WV. Joyce’s grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
