Taylor, Joy Graham

Drucilla Joy Graham Taylor, age 92 of Pulaski, died Thursday, December 22, 2022 at her home. She was born in Long Shop, Virginia on July 23, 1930, and is the daughter of the late David Lee Graham and Mabel Keister Graham. She

was a longtime member of the Thornspring United Methodist Church and was a retiree of Pulaski County.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother David Robert Graham, husband Vernie Rangle Fain and husband James Hall Taylor. Joy is survived by her sister Maryann Burks (Dave) of Vienna, VA, Hattie Mitchell (Claude) of Charlottesville and sister-in-law Julia “GI” Graham of Blacksburg. She raised three daughters who all survive: Diana Adkins (Dave) of Dublin, Felicia Jones (Scott) of Dublin, and Carolyn Sanders of Gastonia, NC; grandchildren Jozette Franklin (Glen) of Dallas, NC, Erika Antle of Indian Trail, NC; great grandchildren Christina Joy Bolt (Michael) of Dublin, Amber Camper of Pulaski, Lee Edney (Haley) of Pulaski, Beckham Hyatt, Ellasyn Franklin, Kayla Antle and Keelyn Antle all of NC. She has three great-great grandchildren and many special nieces and nephews and extended family members.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 26, 2:00 p.m. at Thornspring United Methodist Church with Pastor Doug Hyndrich officiating. Interment will follow in the Thornspring Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from
12:00 until 2:00 p.m.

Though our hearts are broken with the loss of our precious Joy, we take comfort that she has now heard “Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness.” Mathew 25:23.
