Taylor, Ira Scott

Ira Scott Taylor, 54, of Roanoke, died Wednesday, October 15, 2014. Scott was born on May 27, 1960 in Little Rock, Ark. Scott was, above all, a loving father to his two sons, the light of his life.

He loved to cook and was a huge Razorback and Dallas Cowboy fan. He was generous, kind, and loved his family. He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his parents, Harold and Carol Taylor, of Blacksburg, Va.; his two sons, Joshua, and Matthew; sister, Laura Lee, of Blacksburg, Va.; brother, Joel and his wife, Jennifer, of Riner, Va.; and brother, Todd, of Floyd, Va.; his niece, Hayley, of Knoxville, Tenn; and nephew, Seth Hall, of Blacksburg.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2014, at the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Greg Mills Officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2p.m. Saturday, October 18, 2014prior to the service at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
