Taylor, Donald Brent

Donald Brent Taylor, 67, of Elliston, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 31, 2017. Donald was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Betty and Joe Taylor; and sister, Tanya Taylor. Surviving to cherish his memory: wife of 46 years, Linda Gordon Taylor; sons, Travis J. Taylor and Cheyenne Lancer Taylor; grandchildren, Ashley Bailey and husband, Justin, Brittany O’Neill and husband, Paul, Heather Taylor, Mahala Taylor, and Khristy Taylor; great-grandchildren, Emily O’Neill and Nevaeh Taylor; sisters, Deborah Williamson and Theresa Johnson; brothers, Jeff Taylor and James Taylor; and numerous nieces and nephews, who he loved dearly.

Thanks to Dr. Richard Prokopchak and staff, Dr. James Witten, and Dr. Bakhit for all their many years of caring for Donald. Thanks to Intrepid Hospice for their care over the past few weeks. Very special thanks to Wanda Baier-Bowdeaux, with the Military Order of the Purple Heart.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Riverside Methodist Church, 1920 Lucas St, Salem, Va. 24153, with the Rev. Brian Gordon officiating.
