Danny Lewis Taylor, 64, of Pulaski, Va., passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2010, in the Pulaski Community Hospital. Born on January 31, 1945, in Pulaski, he was the son of the late Garnett Lowman Taylor and Frances Cole Taylor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Doug, David and Michael Taylor.

He was retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation with over 22 years of service.

Surviving are one daughter, Angela Quesenberry, of Pulaski, and friend, Greg Maybush, of Elliston; one son, George “Bucky” Taylor and friend, Erica Lawson, of Roanoke; three grandchildren, Danielle Quesenberry, Taylor Quesenberry, and Austin Quesenberry; two brothers, Roger Taylor, of Pulaski, and Paul Taylor, of Dublin; four sisters, Violet Sutphin and husband, Hubert, of Draper, Wilma Davis, of Dublin, Dorothy Bishop, of Pulaski, and Patty Anderson and husband, Donnie, of Pulaski; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and friends, Bonnie and Steve Booth, of Bedford County.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2010, in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski with the Rev. Eddie Ratcliff and the Rev. Randall Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Pulaski. The family will receive friends on Friday evening, January 8, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski.
